 Environmental Awareness Activities – Partnership with the Secretariat of Environment and Climate Action

We welcomed senior technician Hélder Xavier from the Department of Environment and Climate Action to lead a session within the scope of the “Offer of Environmental Awareness Activities for Schools, for 2024-2025” with a session that introduced us to the Azores bat.

The students listened to a children's story and a song about bats and were able to learn more about the life cycle of the Azores bat (Nyctalus azoreum), its main characteristics, habitats and threats. The objective was to raise awareness among children about the preservation of this mammal endemic to the Region.
